The Chairman’s Message

Dear Members of the Community:

Assalamu’alaikum Warakhmatullahi Wabarakatuh

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Islamic Centre, London, I wish the best for you and your family. We thank you for the continued support you have given to help make our Centre become a reality. Your donations and pledges continue to  help the Mission of the Islamic Centre to educate our families, friends and neighbours about Islam in London and other places in the United Kingdom, to provide a place for Muslims to gather and practice their faiths as we described in our Proposal, ‘Acquiring Mosque in London’

With your moral and financial support, our community’s dream is being fulfilled.

Wassalamu’alaikum Warakhmatulaahi Wabarakatuh.

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

(Qur’an 2:261)

When someone passes away, their good deeds will also come to an end except three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity), a knowledge which is beneficial, and a virtuous descendant who prays for them (for the deceased)

Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim.

This type of charity is continuous and its benefits continue, even after the person who contributes has left this earth. By providing a place to pray, one receives a reward for each prayer made and the rewards for the prayers are multiplied each time somebody performs salaah.
